River Fog Observation & Forecast — Terms of Use (version 2026-10-13)

Article 1 (Purpose and scope)

These terms set out the conditions for using this site (the public pages for general visitors, and the pages for research staff), which is operated for research on observing and forecasting river fog in the Tadami River / Aizu area. By using this site, you (the "user") agree to these terms.

Article 2 (Pilot publication)

1. This site is a research pilot. Forecasts and classifications are computed results from AI classification of camera images and machine learning, and may contain errors. They are not forecasts from the Japan Meteorological Agency.
2. The operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this site's content, nor that the site will always be available.

Article 3 (No unauthorized publication or republication)

1. Do not publish, republish, or redistribute this site's forecasts, camera images, observation data, screenshots, or any other content on social media, blogs, websites, video, news media, etc., without the operator's permission.
2. This also applies to data received through research exports (ZIP, etc.). If you wish to use it for research, education, or presentations, please contact the operator beforehand.
3. You may share this site's URL with others, but please do not copy and publish its content.

Article 4 (Terms for source data)

River camera images are from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "River Disaster Prevention Information," weather data from Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0) and the Japan Meteorological Agency, and maps from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan and OpenStreetMap. Please also follow each source's own terms of use.

Article 5 (Staff pages and accounts)

1. Pages for research staff may only be used by people approved by the operator.
2. Do not lend or share your account or password with others. You are responsible for managing your own password.
3. If you suspect unauthorized use, contact the operator immediately.

Article 6 (Comments, reports, and other posts)

1. When posting comments or observation reports, base them on fact and do not infringe on others' rights.
2. Submitted reports may be used for research (such as correcting observation records or checking forecast accuracy). The operator may review or delete posts at its discretion.

Article 7 (Prohibited conduct)

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Acts that infringe on others' rights (copyright, portrait rights, privacy, etc.)
• Defamation or harassment of other users
• Deliberately posting false observations or reports
• Excessive or unauthorized access, probing for or exploiting vulnerabilities, or other acts that interfere with operating the site
• Any other conduct the operator deems inappropriate

Article 8 (Record keeping)

For secure operation, the staff pages store login and activity records, and the date/time you agreed to these terms.

Article 9 (Safety and disclaimer)

1. When going out to observe or photograph river fog, pay close attention to weather, footing, and traffic, and do not enter restricted areas.
2. The operator is not liable for any damage arising from your use of this site or from actions based on its forecasts or other content.

Article 10 (Changes or suspension of content; changes to these terms)

The operator may change this site's content or suspend its operation without notice, and may also change these terms. If these terms are changed, we will ask you to agree again.
